About the Position

The Labor and Delivery RN assists with all aspects of pregnancy and childbirth before, during, and after labor. The L & D Registered Nurse will conduct prenatal visits, teach childbirth preparation classes, monitor contractions and fetal heartbeat during labor, administer medications, and assist with any complications that arise. Following delivery, you will perform tests on the newborn and guide the mother through recovery and infant care.

About the Maternal Child Unit

The Maternal Child Unit at GCRMC offers 5 labor/delivery/recovery suites featuring the latest medical equipment in a comfortable home-like setting to meet the medical and aesthetic needs of our patients. Our experienced nursing staff is trained on the most up-to-date equipment and techniques in order to meet the physical and emotional needs of mothers. We also offer classes for expectant mothers and their families before and after delivery.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Current Registered Nurse license
  • Current BLS certification

Shift schedule

  • Day Shift
    • 7AM to 7PM

  • Hourly Wages $30.39 to $36.81
    • Range is based on 1 to 10 years experience, national certification, BSN and a $2.00 shift differential

An Emergency Room RN at GCRMC focuses on providing care for patients suffering from trauma or other illnesses that require emergency attention. As an ER RN, you need to work at maximum efficiency without compromising quality of care, especially when under pressure.

About the Emergency Room

The GCRMC Emergency Department cares for 32,000 patients per year and is a level 3 trauma center available 24/7. The emergency room nurses are all ACLS, PALS, and trauma nurse certified. The department is staffed by physicians, mid-level providers, nurses and technicians. Lab services are provided 24 hours a day by a CAP Certified laboratory. Our state-of-the-art Diagnostic Imaging department compliments the services available in our Emergency Department. Hospitalists are available to meet the needs of patients without a primary care physician. Helicopter transport is available for patients requiring a higher level of care. 

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, baccalaureate degree preferred
  • 1-2 years experience required
  • Current Registered Nurse license
  • Current BLS certification or willing to obtain within 1 month of employment
  • Current ACLS, PALS, and TNCC or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment

As a Cardiac Catheterization Nurse, you will assist doctors in performing interventional procedures, such as cardiac catheterization and angioplasties. Your main responsibility as a Cath Lab RN will be to care for patients through the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions. This could include conducting health screens, monitoring vital signs during procedures, administering medications, and watching for signs of infection or side effects after a procedure is completed.

As a subsidiary of GCRMC, Alamogordo Cardiology partnered with the medical team of Southwest Heart P.C. to provide comprehensive Cardiology Services, including a 24-hour Cardiac Cath Lab, to our community. Since 2015, our Cardiac Cath Lab has treated over 1,000 patients and will continue to offer exceptional heart care. Our experienced cardiologists are prepared to offer preventative care and treat long-term heart conditions with:

As a Physical Therapist at GCRMC, you will help restore function, improve mobility and relieve pain in patients suffering from a disease that limits physical motion or those who are injured. You will help determine the root cause of the trauma, counsel patients and their families, and then work to create a plan for rehabilitation. This plan will need to have measurable functional goals while keeping in mind the patient’s psychosocial, cultural, and other needs. You will need strong attention to detail in order to observe a patient’s issues, analyze what is needed to help, and avoid putting patients at risk of further injury.  Strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and patience will be needed to effectively communicate with patients and their families in order to provide education during treatment and prior to discharge, in order to increase the patient’s independence and meet their needs.

About the Position

The Labor and Delivery RN assists with all aspects of pregnancy and childbirth before, during, and after labor. The L & D Registered Nurse will conduct prenatal visits, teach childbirth preparation classes, monitor contractions and fetal heartbeat during labor, administer medications, and assist with any complications that arise. Following delivery, you will perform tests on the newborn and guide the mother through recovery and infant care.

About the Maternal Child Unit

The Maternal Child Unit at GCRMC offers 5 labor/delivery/recovery suites featuring the latest medical equipment in a comfortable home-like setting to meet the medical and aesthetic needs of our patients. Our experienced nursing staff is trained on the most up-to-date equipment and techniques in order to meet the physical and emotional needs of mothers. We also offer classes for expectant mothers and their families before and after delivery.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Current Registered Nurse license
  • Current BLS certification

The GCRMC Emergency Department cares for 32,000 patients per year and is a level 3 trauma center available 24/7. The emergency room nurses are all ACLS, PALS, and trauma nurse certified. The department is staffed by physicians, mid-level providers, nurses and technicians. Lab services are provided 24 hours a day by a CAP Certified laboratory. Our state-of-the-art Diagnostic Imaging department compliments the services available in our Emergency Department. Hospitalists are available to meet the needs of patients without a primary care physician. Helicopter transport is available for patients requiring a higher level of care.

About the Psych Nurse Practitioner

The Behavioral Medicine Unit is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for its 38-bed inpatient behavioral medicine unit as well as outpatient BM treatment.

The position is a 50/50 mix of adults and geriatric patients and will be seen in both an inpatient and outpatient setting.

  • 1:6 Nurse to patient ratio 
  • The facility serves as the hospital for the local military base as well

The Nurse Practitioner will be able to provide a continuum of care on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.

About the Position 

As a Cardiac Catheterization Nurse, you will assist doctors in performing interventional procedures, such as cardiac catheterization and angioplasties. Your main responsibility as a Cath Lab RN will be to care for patients through the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions. This could include conducting health screens, monitoring vital signs during procedures, administering medications, and watching for signs of infection or side effects after a procedure is completed.

Since 2015, our Cardiac Cath Lab has treated over 1,000 patients and will continue to offer exceptional heart care. Our experienced cardiologists are prepared to offer preventative care and treat long-term heart conditions with:

  • Consultation
  • Echocardiography
  • Holter Monitor
  • Stress Test
  • Permanent Pacemaker Implant

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing (RN), with valid board licensure
  • 1-2 years of Cath Lab experience required

Shift schedule

  • 40 hours/week; 8a – 5p
    • On-call: up to 14 days a month

Compensation

  • Hourly wages range from $35.00* to $48.63* based upon experience, education and certification.
